Plants in Windows
Whilst wandering around the Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh I noticed the plants pressing up against steamy and damp windows. After seeing photographer Colin Tennant's photos displayed at the Hawick Museum I got really excited by this discovery.
I immediately started to take photos of these plants and felt mesmerised by the effects they make through the glass. Almost like a pre-placed filter to view them through. I love the algae forming and the condensation which makes the frosty effect.
I would like to try and replicate this effect using other transparent materials. Colin used a sheet in one of his photos and you could see the plant shape silhouetting through it.
